Boniface Bassey is an alumnus of the premier and prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, who was called to the Nigerian Bar and admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Nigeria over 21 years ago.

Since qualifying to practice as – a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria- he has been appointed a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to practice as such by the Honourable Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria;

In line with his passion for commercial practice, he has been involved in a couple of international commercial transactions as legal advisory such as the Privatisation of former Urban Development Bank Plc. now The Infrastructure Bank Plc., Nigerian Telecommunication Plc. (NITEL), Negotiation, Implementation and Issue of the Benue State Government Bond Issue to the tune of N4B (Four Billion Naira) (as one of the Solicitors to the Issue), GICELL Wireless Ltd. Network negotiation for the establishment of a CDMA 760 Platform in Nigeria; the office is also at present, involved as Solicitors to the Issue and Implementation of the Sokoto State Bond Issue to raise funds for development in the State to the tune of N10B;

He has also undertaken a personal and further development and specialised trainings and courses in diverse fields of legal practice to equip him for new challenges and be in position to provide a wide range of legal service to clients be it individual or corporate, for which he is certified such as: Aviation Law, Consumer Protection, Military Law practice, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Children and Women Right Protection, Labour Law Environmental Pollution Law, Debt Recovery and Management amongst others.

He is well positioned to practice and represent and has represented clients in both Criminal and Civil litigation, Court Martial, Electoral Matters, Labour related matters in Court at different levels/strata, spread through different specialised fields of law to wit but not limited to Arbitral, Mediation, Conciliation and Negotiation proceedings, Company Board Secretary amongst other area of competencies as regards the legal practice;

He is also positioned to give and deliver sound and well informed advise, opinion and conduct legal due diligence diverse areas of Corporate practice backed by well researched sources; an ardent disciple of the Law and due process with a penchant for legal drafting, litigation, Capital Market, Transactional Negotiation and Arbitration, Trained ADR Registrar/Secretary.

He is currently the Head of Litigation who has been involved in a wide range of litigation and alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation. He is in the team currently involved in an oil and gas International Arbitration worth US$136m.
